Visit a few class blogs and you will see a common element, the Twitter icon.

Teachers today use Twitter for professional development, to establish personal learning networks and create opportunities for collaboration with other classes and specialists around the world.

Through Twitter, 5SK has:

– Participated in the Edublogs Challenge

– Team up with classes from England and Hawaii for Quadblogging

– Participated in the 100 Word Challenges

– Chatted with specialists from the Sovereign Hill Museum in Ballarat for our History unit on the Eureka Stockade

– Signed up for the Global Read Aloud project

– Chatted with ranger Brad from Billabong Sanctuary about animal adaptations for our Science unit

Check out the Educator’s Guide to Twitter from Edublogger. It has detailed information on every aspect of Twitter.
